Guest guest
To any physician 'prescribing' PEG of any kind to a child. Get written acknowledgement from physician that he/she is willing to prescribe even though they know the manufacturer states it is not intended for children. They also need to state they understand PEG is NOT intended to be used more than one to two weeks per usage insert. I personally think they also need to acknowledge that they are aware that over 2,000 complaints have been made to the FDA and inform them a new petition has been filed. Get a copy of this in writing and HOLD onto it!!!! If you find a doctor so committed to do this...something is very wrong!
Guest guest
One member mentioned that her friend works at a provider that doesn't allow member doctors to prescribe off-label. Parents might also check with the provider group to see if it regulates off-label prescribing by its member doctors.
