injections in neck- any positive or negative results?

Hi I had decompression surgery 3yrs ago and am still dealing with a lot of neck

pain. Narcotics are no longer working for me so pain doc wants to take me off of

them for 3 months and then start again. Well winter is the worst for me...so the

fun begins. Anyways I'm going in for injections in my lower back in a couple

weeks for pain from my tethered cord surgery and was thinking about seeing if I

could have something done for my neck at the same time. My NS suggested botox

yrs ago but my pcp was totally against it. I'd like to hear from anyone who has

had any type of injection for neck pain and if it was good or bad.
