Guest guest
Can anyone help with suggestions or experience for the following. I have only received an email sent via the clinic but would like to have something positive to say before asking her to come for a consultation. An eight month old baby girl has recently been diagnosed with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis. Her symptoms which have continued for over three months includes, fevers, rashes, swelling in the joints, extremely high inflammation and high white blood cell counts. The mother is under great pressure from the doctors to start her with treatment consisting of steroids and methotrexate, which she wants to avoid due to the harmful side effects. The doctors have agreed to give her two weeks(!) after which, if her situation does not improve, they intend to proceed with their proposed treatment. Which seems a bit authoritarian. Many thanks Dore
