Guest guest
You sound alot like me with loving to be a nurturer and a care taker. I was running my own business had reached the pinnacle of moving froward. Like you I was in an accident that caused and arachnoid cyst(same symptoms as chiari). I think at points that my life insurance is worth alot and my 19 y.o. son would be financially sound. Spiritually not so fine. The chronic pain 24/7 causes depression. There is nothing wrong with being depressed you have to treat it. About being the mainstay to your family (forgive me) your husband is right, I never thought I was causing more problems for my self by overdoing for every body else. My son has been my beacon and when I listen to him I have better days and nights. I am in pain every day what counts is how much pain and whether I have quality days. My neuro psychologist tells me that alot of noise, people, flashing lights, can initiate migraines. Your isolating from family is not due to not loving them it is the need to survive and you need to isolate to the quiet come out enjoy your family when you feel overwhelmed take a quiet walk and return, sometimes I actually have to go off to a quiet room and nap and go back to the group. Let you husband gauge you needs for a while he is on the outside and can see what you cannot see from inside of you. And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not Gal 6:9 " I am too Blessed to be Stressed and too Anointed to be Disappointed "
