Hi,

l have read 3 different diets are recommended, Dr Swank, Ashtn Embry

and the Raw Food diet.

Any comments, please and why you would recommend a poarticular one.

l realise any diet for our condition is a good diet, but your comments

will be much appreciated.

Have a good day,

Mattieu

Dear Mattieu,

I think the best all-around dietary regimen for people with MS is that

proposed by Dr. Ashton Embry. Like the Swank diet, it is low in

saturated fat. Additionally, however, it recommends avoiding gluten,

dairy, and legumes, and it lists a number of helpful nutritional

supplements. Also, it is easier to adhere to than the raw food diet, and

it has a lot of scientific validity. For more information, visit

All the best,

Hi Matteau. I've tried the Best Bet Diet (Ashton Embry), but have done

webetter on the raw food diet. After joining the BBD group, I

realized that the members are trying to fit things in that don't seem

particularly healthy to me (some pastas, some meats, several

oils...). I've been eating raw for over a year. I occasionally eat

cooked food and have ice cream on rare occasions, but not enough to

hurt me (knock on wood). Sometimes when I'm with other people or on

the road, eating raw isn't an option or preference. I drink green

smoothies daily to make sure I get enough leafy greens. The recipe is

in the file section of Green_GroupMSyahoo (DOT) I believe almost anything

is better than the standard American diet (SAD). Starting with just

adding raw veggies to a meal is a good beginning. Then, add more and

more and eliminate the cooked stuff! I think you'll feel better.
