Guest guest
Hi Ann- Thank you for this special update. This is yet another testimony showing there is a silver lining in caregiving. We can continue to receive blessing even after the journey has ended. A true blessing here. Always keeping you and your family, with Marti, close in my heart, thoughts, and prayers. Safe travels Ann. Marti died several months ago, and her widower Dave is getting married next week, so tomorrow my husband and I are heading out for the wedding and a huge family celebration. We love Barb, Dave's intended. He's known her and her family for several years, in fact, he taught her grandchildren when her son was stationed in Germany. After over ten years of dealing with Marti's illness--three years in Germany and seven years after she had to be placed in private nursing care here in the states, we thank God that he has another chance for happiness. No one could have been a better husband to Marti, and he was devastated by her illness. But she didn't speak, move, or recognize anyone for the last three years of her life, so it he had plenty of time to say goodby and prepare to move forward with his life.
