Welcome :o)!!!!!!!

Tae Bo will totally reshape you. I started almost 5 years ago, thinking I'd have to lose 116 pounds to get back to my 9/10s. I ended up losing 75-80 pounds and got into a 6/8, 40 pounds heavier than when I was a 9/10. So you might end up retweaking your goals several times. But don't get overwhelmed. Just do baby steps and you'll get there.

Thank you all for the warm welcome. So is everyone looking to lose weight?

I think you will find some of the members here have already went through losing weight and are living out a healthy lifestyle now, some never wanted to lose weight simply be healthier, and others (including me) would like to lose some weight. Since December 18 of 2002 I have lost 90 pounds by combining Tae Bo with an overall healthier lifestyle that includes healthier eating. Those 90 pounds only took about 10.5 months too as the past 1.5 months I have not been focused on losing weight, but I think I need to refocus on losing weight. I can't decide. If I had to be 163 pounds at 5'11" the rest of my life, I guess it would be ok, but I think I'd prefer to lose another 5 to 10 pounds, either that or gain muscle. It feels so great to wear small shirts and I am very happy with my weight, but I realize I could look better. However, this past year has been the greatest of my life! It is an incredible journey and one that will stay with you forever. The MOST important thing is to workout and live healthier for your mind & soul. Don't worry about the body, let that follow later as would say. That is what I did. When I began my journey, I told myself that I did not care if I lost 0 pounds, I just wanted to do something positive for my health. I was rewarded greatly. Another thing I did at first was post about every workout I did, that way I would look forward to telling the group about my workout and I'd be more likely to workout. I should start doing that again, as I've been lazy the past couple weeks.

I do hope you find this group as motivational and supportive as I have.

Best wishes,

No. Not for me. I want to stay able to do ordinary things like walk out to my mailbox. If I don't exercise, I get tired out very easily. So staying fit is important to have a "functional life."

Everyone's on a different agenda. Some of us have weight to lose, some are maintaining, others just want to stay healthy.

I have a few extra pounds I let come on by being lazy in my eating, so I have to lose those and the few "stubborn" pounds that were still around after my original 75 pound loss. But I finally have some weight workouts that I enjoy, so that's going to make a big difference this time around.mmyers80@... wrote:
