I have been working out to the advanced Tae Bo (back from 1999) tape

3 times a week (about an hour long) for a long time and am tempted to

buy the new Tae Bo 2004 package for something new. I know there are 4

different tapes in the package about 45 minutes long each. Is there a

routine/schedule I should use or that people are using? Is Tae Bo

every morning too much? I was thinking of maybe Monday thru Friday-a

tape a day? What should a good work out schedule be? I would like to

get away from the 1999 video but it's a good work out.

Thanks

-Jeff

hi jeff!

yep, it is certainly time for you to get some new taebo tapes! :)

how often you would like to do taebo depends on what your fitness goals are.

if you are wanting to burn fat and lose weight then lots of cardio (taebo)

is the ticket.

i suggest 4 times a week.... more if possible.

but to have a well-rounded workout schedule you need to do some other

activities besides cardio.

so on two of the other days of the week you need to be building (or at least

maintaining) your muscles with some sort of resistance training.

this can be done with machines, dumbells, resistance tubing or bands, your

body weight or even common household items.

the last day of the week can then be used to recover, work on flexibility

and rest.

concerning taebo, i suggest keeping the original/studio advanced workout but

rotating it (like you suggest) with 3 or 4 other workouts. i am not very

familiar with the 2004 workouts however so i will let someone else comment

on that.
