Guest guest
Yes..........but there's a reason. It has to do with the site's bandwidth. I'll go to her message board and forward her message about it for you. You can still get to her message board and chatroom, though. http://pub38.ezboard.com/bdottisweightlosszone (message board/chat) Dotti's Message: DWLZ, the WEBSITE, is temporarily down. My NEW server has turned off my site as I have already used the allocated 20 mb of bandwidth transfer! You ask " What is bandwidth? " Bandwidth is data transfer that is recorded every time someone visits any of my pages on dwlz.com - that means each page you visit and each graphic on that page is recorded. With 12,000 plus visitors per weekday and half that amount on the weekends DWLZ is using the allowed amount very fast! I am in the process of yet again being moved to another server (with same company) that will allow double the bandwidth - 50 mb of transfer per month. Until that happens the dwlz.com will not be accessible. The fee to turn it back on it way too much and would grow very rapidly! My server tells me the transfer to the new server should take place by the end of the week! Let's hope so! That brings us to the next question - what will happen if we go over the new bandwidth allocation? Well, the site will again be turned off! I can tell you this, I do NOT know how long I can keep dwlz.com up and running (Please remember we are talking about the website NOT the EzBoard or Chat - the Message Board and Chat are NOT on my server - WHEW!!!!). Even the dedicated servers, which are VERY expensive, limit the amount of bandwidth per month so that is NOT the answer at this time as the website visitors continue to grow day by day. Why am I telling you this? Mainly to prepare you in case the worst case scenario happens - my WEBSITE, dwlz.com has to come down off the Internet! Again, remember this does NOT affect our Message Board or Chat. Al and I are discussing several options so that the site material and info will still be available to all who want it! If the worst does happen we are thinking about offering the Restaurants and other info on a CD which you can purchase and which will be updated at least twice a year! We can even put the whole website on a CD so you can view and use it OFFLINE whenever you wish! This will take some planning but seems like a viable solution. A lot of our recipes are already on our Message Board. We will keep you informed as to how we will proceed. I will continue to work on getting the nutritional info for all the restaurants and foods. In the meantime, I have added the log in for Chat at the top of the Message Board! Use that for now. Also, PLEASE, PLEASE bookmark EzBoard so that you can get back to the boards! All you have to do is Add it to your Favorites (if you use IE - top of browser) and add it to your Bookmarks (if you use Netscape - top of browser). This post just breaks my heart! I've worked day and night to keep the site updated and full of info to help make your journey easy and fun!!! Let's hope the new server will be able to handle the bandwidth and amount of visitors we get daily! Help Is anyone else having difficulty getting to or pulling up www.dottiesweightlosszone? It keeps on giving me error messages Amy

Guest guest
Dear Helena, I dont think it would hurt to continue taking your prevacid until you can talk to your doc.. But I am not a nurse or doc, I have only had marginal ulcers and understand the pain involved.. I hope you feel better soon Hugs, open RNY 12/12/00 revision 04/18/01 revision 02/07/02 sw392 cw 218 -174 5'6 l
Guest guest
Hi Helena; What you are going thru seems to be " par for the course " if you ask me. I went thru it and had to tell myself, , look what you have just been thru and remember why you have been thru it. " I know you probably dont want to hear this but in my case things did not get better for a couple months. It is a new change and something you must get used to, I'm sorry for you it brings back memories to all of us. You must try to look ahead. Things will get easier. My sister said for the first two months, " This is horrible, I would NEVER do it again. " But in 4 months she was singing the Happy Song. Just looking at her new body was so fulfilling she soon changed her tune. She complained about every little inconvenience to her DR and he finally said to her. " I know this was no walk in the park but I do think you must toughen up and realize it won't be easy for a while. " Everytime you get discouraged and have regrets think about the gal you want to be and picture yourself in your mind being thin. It will do wonders for you. This is sorta like childbirth, you will forget so easily once these things pass and you see yourself in a size 14 or 12. Im sure you will get lots of advice from the wonderful gals and guys here on the boards. You can do this and you will survive. Just please hang in there and try to be positive. Hope this helps you and does not hurt your feelings. That's not what I wrote it for. Good luck to you, in Pa.
