Guest guest
Does anyone happen to know off the top of their head if OSSA stands for oxacillin-sensitive Staph aureus. I have a resident who is dictating OSSA as the final diagnosis and am pretty sure this is what it means but would like some confirmation. If I don't get confirmation she will get ______________________(OSSA). Thanks, MG

Thanks, MG I'm not familiar with it, personally (only MRSA in a similar context), and a web search doesn't bring up any relevant hits ... nor do I see it in Stedman's abbreviations. Unless someone here can provide a source for verification, I'd definitely blank it.
