Guest guest
On Wednesday, my boss calls me into his office and asks me to shut the door. So i knew it wasn't good. I had put on our office calendar two days to be off around christmas time. My boss said that "some eyebrows were raised" ... and that I have missed about 20plus days this year because of my asthma. All ASTHMA related. In a nutshell, he is fed up with me missing so much time, so what am I to do.... I would love to be off and not be sick for once. All of the times I have missed were hospitalizations or the lung biopsy. This is so upsetting to me. I understand that I have missed a lot of time due to my asthma. So needless to say, there isn't anything I can do. I need my job. So I will not be able to take off for the holidays or anything else probably. I barely go to my appts as it is... Yet again, I feel like I'm in a prison to speak because of my asthma and job. If there was a way I could do something i really enjoyed doing and could work from home I would. stressed out. Guest guest
That is what cost me my job. I have looked at disability but can't afford the lost wages or the medical coverage while waiting for Medicaid to kick in. Too sick to work as well as I want and too well to quit.Kay, have you checked in with your state Dept (or Div) of Vocational Rehabilitation? They may be able to help. Guest guest
Oh that note, I lost my job 5 months ago at a law firm none the less, I missed 2 two days in total all year when they cleaned the building with a strong chemical cleaner. I carelessly gotten written up for minor errors and then was put on 30 days probation and then loss my job for no apparent reason because my work quality was 99.3% versus 120% perfection, really think the underly reason was I ran into health issues and it was an excuse, F* up is all I have to say just because it was the first time I had a health issue.
