Guest guest
LOL, I can only imagine poor having to explain his New Zealand Accent daily in Iowa. He must have some kind of come back by now like; it's not his New Zealand accent, but the Iowan accent that he is picking up. Heeee, heeeeee. Gotcha! I can bring the Lemon Drops, that is if I don't drink it all with all this celebration of coming to the U.S. You know for everytime there is Lemonade made out of Lemons, I have a drink to you all with Lemon Drops! " When life passes out Lemons, make Lemonade out of it " I have had a lot of celebrating the past few weeks reading about this gathering in 2008.// Sandie / wrote: Hi Jan- This is a nice surprise. The call was truly a joy for me. We spoke years ago so it had been a while. She is witty, intelligent, and warm hearted. We talked about LBD, life in general, and the upcoming gathering. I told her I just filled the truck with gas and it was clean in case I needed to make an emergency trip to Canada. We talked more in length about the gathering and how she " will " be here or we " will " be there. Even mentioned passports and how some are checking into getting one...seems Courage needs to have hers updated - get on it Courage! Thank you Courage for taking time out to talk with me. I have replayed our conversation over and over in my mind...it was so great hearing your voice again. Thank you for the laughter and for confirming once again the kindred spirit we share. Guest guest
Jan- Made me laugh out loud. Some people have asked if is Bosnian, Russian, and even from the South...hahahahahaha. Atleast those who ask if he is English or Australian have some type of a clue. He usually tells people he " met and married a local woman " and their response is... " that'll do it every time. " He is a kind soul and uses respect when answering. I, on the other hand, would have fun with it all. I suggested that when asked if he is from, say, England, just answer... " no " . Leave it at that. Or if asked where he is from say, " Iowa " ...hehehe. I am sure Donna and Peggy remembers 's accent. He has a lovely accent that I love listening to. As for an Iowa accent...c'mon...it is and Courage with the accents...really, truly...rally it is! So, Jan, does this mean you will be attending the 2008 Gathering? Bringing the Lemon Drops. Please, we will need all the alcohol/liquor we can get for Courage. By then, will be detoxing and staying at my place. I think stuffing the bed of the truck with alcohol and drugs might be a problem crossing the Canadian border but I do think we will make it. Have a heist to complete and what a better way than in a truck with a Scot, New Zealander, American, 2 English, and tons of alcohol. Forsee any problems? I have enjoyed corresponding with you Jan. Please say you will be joining us. I will start the impromptu surveys/emails the beginning of the year. Guest guest
Sandie, good thing is that they have Lemon Drops in Canada also, so we can buy the stuff there and don't have to worry about sneaking across the border with it. Really, I will be surprised too if I show up. I can never make any plans with Jim. I will see what he is like when the time comes and if he seems in a good place healthwise. Then maybe, just maybe I will show up. I may not know until a few weeks before the actual event. I was on hold for my notorious trip to Texas too, I just didn't know if I was going until the time was upon me. My poor cousin had another friend riding with us, so if I didn't make it she knew she had someone to travel back to Texas with. You can't depend on me. I surprise myself when I show up. My life is on hold with Jim. Sandie / wrote: Jan- Made me laugh out loud. Some people have asked if is Bosnian, Russian, and even from the South...hahahahahaha. Guest guest
Hi All, I think that along with the ativan and booze we may need to bring some provigil or seroquel for me. I decided to have some soup this afternoon that comes pre-packaged and when I took the lid off the pot after boiling the soup for the recommended time I noticed that I had thrown the contents in the garbage and boiled the packaging instead........and it was mmmmm....mmmmm good! I swear I have not had a drop to drink! I swear, some days there is no hope for me!
