Guest guest
<snip> For some reason I couldn't take the poll. It said I wasn't a member of this list. I have been for the last 3 to 4 yrs. <snip> I'm receiving email from a group, but when I visit the group page, it says I'm not recognized as a member. In some instances, it is possible for you to join a Yahoo! Group's email list without having access to the group's web features. When this happens, you will not be recognized upon visiting the group home page. To get full access to the group, otherwise known as " web membership, " please follow the instructions below: 1. Go to the Yahoo! Groups Membership Wizard. You will be asked to sign in with your Yahoo! ID. (If you are not a registered Yahoo! member, you may sign up for a free account on this page. Once you complete your registration, you will be returned to the Membership Wizard.) 2. Make sure the email address where you are receiving messages from the group appears in the Membership Wizard. If it does not appear, add it via the link provided. (If you add an address, you will be sent a verification email to that address to assure that you own it. Please check your email and follow the instructions in the message sent to you.) 3. Once your email address appears in the Memberhip Wizard as verified, continue with the the steps in the wizard to convert your memberships to " web memberships. " Upon completing the Membership Wizard, you should be recognized upon returning to the group and shouldn't experience this problem with the addresses you've just converted in the future. You should also be able to: * Access your group web features, such as Photos, Files, Calendar, and more. * Easily control the email delivery settings for all of your groups, via the Groups web site. Just visit the My Groups page. (please let me know if this doesn't work for you... sorry for the inconvenience...)
Guest guest
Further Details: How do I use the Membership Wizard? If you're currently receiving email from Groups, but you can't see the groups in your My Groups page, you'll need to " claim " them using our Membership Wizard. Although there are multiple steps involved in the process, the concept is simple -- all you need to do is: 1. Tell us the email address at which you're receiving email. 2. Tell us that you'd like that email address to be tied to your Yahoo! ID. 3. Choose a profile for each of your group memberships. The Membership Wizard is designed to claim groups you joined via email (using the " subscribe " command) or to which you were directly added by a group owner. In addition, if you joined a group via eGroups, you can use the Membership Wizard so you can view your group on Yahoo! Groups. That's all! You should see a confirmation screen letting you know the process is complete and your memberships have been claimed by the Membership Wizard. Get started now by going to the Membership Wizard. Question: What if I mess up the Membership Wizard process and link email subscriptions/memberships to the the wrong Yahoo! ID? Answer: No problem. Just sign in with the correct Yahoo! ID and go through the wizard process again. Note: If you don't have a Yahoo! ID, you will be prompted to create one and then continue with the Membership Wizard.
