Guest guest
If your vials are in the exact same lot as these and are mislabled, you probably shouldn't use them. The dosage wouldn't be right. Check on getting more. Guest guest
Kay it sounds as if they are saying its the correct dose, but the vials have the wrong dose written on them. If you need it, Id use it if you have to. Also, you should check the manufacturer of the albuterol that you have at home b/c it might be made by someone else. You can also take it back to whomever you got it from and they have to exchange it for new albuterol that is correctly labeled. Guest guest
Donna is right, however this recall is saying there may be a problem with the dosage printed on the vials and that may be a problem. If the medicine in the vials is the wrong dosage, it could be dangerous to use it. As for what I checked, it wasn't on the list, so it's safe to use.To: asthma Sent: Thu, January 6, 2011 10:34:23 AMSubject: RE: FDA Alert - Recall: Albuterol Sulfate Inhalation Solution - Mislabeled Unit Dose Vials before anyone stops medication you need to see your GP or primary dr never stop them just because there might be a issue with them they say this all the time here about medication and half the time its nothing wrong with them Ask your GP first unless the company has contacted you or your GP or pharacist tells you From Miss Donna-marie rachel Griffiths UK south Wales dymuniadau gorau ar hyn o bryd yr wyl, Nadolig Llawen a blwyddyn newydd dda To: asthma From: donachi39@...Date: Thu, 6 Jan 2011 08:24:01 -0500Subject: Re: FDA Alert - Recall: Albuterol Sulfate Inhalation Solution - Mislabeled Unit Dose Vials Hi , Thanks donachi39 I checked that number with the list and you're fine. Guest guest
My impression is that the dosage within the vials is ok, but it has to be recalled b/c the embossed dosage on the vials is incorrect and in a medical setting or even at home, it could lead to an overdose of the medication if one was to administer it based on what the dosage on the vials says. I could be wrong though, as I said its only my impression... In any case, if someone has the recalled lot numbers, they might as well take it back and get new stuff. That way theres no question as to whether or not its the right dose. Based on my experiences in injection blow molding, someone probably forgot to change the die on the machine when the job changed over or the plant filling the vials didnt change out the vials when they were supposed to. Either way its a QC failure....
