WOW!

I wish I could get up the energy to do something around this house, can

you come over and give me some inspiraton?

Our landlord stopped by Sunday, and he said every time he comes over the

space just gets smaller and smaller. gets lots of free goodies from

work; besides lots of books, he gets canvas bags from publishers and all

kinds of marketing stuff, even toys. Anything that's appropriate, I save

for my grandson, but the stuff just piles up. We ran out of bookshelf room

years ago, and have stacks of them everywhere. Some are worth some money,

like the autographed books, and everyone tells me to sell them on ebay, but

that seems like too much trouble. I have some that are 11 or 12 years old

and I haven't even opened the covers yet. I thought of a yard sale, but

that means sorting through the books we want to keep, and we want to read

most of them. I am the world's biggest packrat, and is the second, lol!

I used to watch it when we had cable, and I wished someone would come over

and help me out with it. We have some friends who are LDS (Mormons) and

they offer to help out with the housework, but I feel embarrassed to have

anyone come in and see just how messy it is. The only rooms they've been in

is the living room and the snake room (they all want to get their pictures

taken with one of the larger pythons to send to their families back home, lol!)

This weekend my son did several loads of laundry for us. We don't have a

washer/dryer, and can't afford the laundromat. I'd been washing important

things in the bathtub, like 's work clothes, and when I take a bath

or shower I wash my undies. So now I've got all the laundry folded, but

there are about 10 work shirts of 's that need ironing, groan.

I really need to clean the kitchen, and the snake room, too. Several of my

snakes died at the beginning of the summer, because I was keeping it too

warm in the house and they couldn't take the heat. So I have about 9

" empty " cages to clean out. Plus, a clutch of eggs hatched and I have a

jumble of tiny babies that need to learn how to eat, which is

time-consuming. I have about 15 of them, and the pet shop usually pays me

$30 apiece for them, so it is actually a worthwhile task.

They're cornsnake babies (also known as red ratsnakes). They're very cute,

and I have lots of pics; if you'd like to see any I'll send you some privately.

And, actually, the ball pythons are kind of fibro related...they give

wonderful neck and back massages! Even my large (10' long) python, Mickey,

loves to give me massages. He seems to know where the hot spots are and

heads right for them. One day I was holding him and he wrapped around my

thighs and gave me a great massage. Then he moved down to my lower legs and

massaged my calves. It's really amazing how he knows just where I'm

hurting. Of course, we've had him for 10 1/2 years, and he's really " in

tune " with me.
