Re:Bronchiectasis as a result of pneumonia?

Hi Cassie,

I was diagnosed with bronch about 7 years after a bout

of necrotizing pneumonitis - weeks in the hospital and

rehab - that left me with badly scarred lungs. Before

the diagnosis, I had several bouts of bad bronchitis,

so I may have had this before they identified it.

Since then I've had good times and bad.

I do a lot of holistic stuff, pulmonary rehab which I

found out about on this group, and for a while inhaled

antibiotics.

I don't know what the prognosis is, but I do intend to

be proactive whenever I can and double check

everything I'm told - which sometimes annoys the

doctors, but I feel it's my body and I get to choose.

I think I'm just beginning to understand what I need

to do to cope with it - until now I've been ignoring

when I'm fine and then struggline, but I'm trying to

be vigilant and take more care.
