All I can say is that I had to take Atrovent once b/c of really bad bronchitis. It has menthol in it...which is about as bitter as anything Ive ever inhaled. It did the job....but, I was also on a pharmacy at that point. (6th week of active bronchitis.) So...I dont know what the fix really was. I still laugh to this day about the instructions to rinse well after use to prevent thrush. That stuff was so nasty that I had to have a glass of water in hand to rinse IMMEDIATELY after each inhalation.
