Guest guest
Amber, This sounds like delusional thinking, somewhat along the lines of Capgras Syndrome. (Capgras is a delusional misidentification syndrome, " characterized by a belief that a familiar person has been replaced by an identical impostor. " From eMedicine.) There's no discussion you (or anyone else) can have with your LO that will get him to see that your friend is a woman. I'd suggest you and your friend read up on delusions (and perhaps even Capgras), and have your friend decide if she's OK with your LO thinking and saying she's a man. Let her decide what she's willing to accept and how much exposure she wants to your LO. Good luck, Robin > > I am having a problem with my LO. I have a friend who looks like a man (short hair, stocky) from a distance and i can not convince him she is a woman. He is adamant she a man and she is here to take me off him. I have introduced her etc but he gets moody, won't eat and refuses to > talk when she's been here. I am at my wits end as she is a good friend but i have gone to dread her visits as i know what he is going to be like.He has aked others about her and they tell him she a woman but he won't except it, any suggestions > Amber >
Guest guest
Buy a wig. Explain the situation to your friend, and ask her if she will wear it to appease your LO. To some people a person isn't female without long hair. Imogene In a message dated 4/12/2007 4:19:38 AM Central Daylight Time, amber0_14@... writes: I am having a problem with my LO.
