Guest guest
i have had asthma since i was 12 and have used a variety of different inhalers in the past. until last year i was using albuterol based inhalers/treatments. i cant use the albuterol anymore due to a tremor disorder. i have started using xopenex for my rescue inhaler and nebulizers as well. they recently changed my daily inhaler to dulera. the dr gave me samples and i found out they might have to change that again due to insurance~~they have to get pre-authorization. i have had bronchitis now for 33 days. had 2 treatments of antibiotics and now they put me on prednisone. i have 60% lung function and they arent sure if its due to the bronchitis or not as my asthma is bad whether i am sick or not. has anyone had any dealing with medical supplies for asthma, like having to use oxegen or meters and such. i am hoping i will not have to go on oxygen but as my asthma worsens i am scared. i currently take my inhalers along with singulair and my nebulizer meds. i have had to increase the nebs to daily and my rescue inhaler as needed in between the nebs and other inhalers. just am unsure what to try other then suppliments. if you have any ideas please let me know. am probably going to have to call the allergist in the morning!
