Guest guest
My daughter is 5 years old and weighs 32 pounds and is 43 inches tall. She learned to walk when she was 3 1/2 years old. Over the weekend we went to KY to a truck show and she rode in an umbrella stroller for 3 days. She's to big for it but she can't walk all day. I was wondering why type of strollers do you use, have, or do you have suggestions? Guest guest
I know the feeling well..... is 46 pounds and 40 inches. I have a very large Graco umbrella stroller that I think they don't make any more. Just look around for a large one you can definitely tell the difference! mom to 12, 10, 7 and 5 mDs From: MosaicDS [mailto:MosaicDS ] On Behalf Of Bolduc Sent: Thursday, April 03, 2008 11:14 AM To: downsyndrome ; DownSyndromeInfoExchange ; Cri-Du-Chat_Syndrome ; MosaicDS ; trisomy10qgooglegroups Subject: Stroller My daughter is 5 years old and weighs 32 pounds and is 43 inches tall. Guest guest
Thanks, I will look for one. I just called my service coordinator and she suggested to call Variety Club and ask for one. They have already helped us with a Dynavox and hippo therapy, and she is now on the list to get a bike that is modified for her to ride. With their telethon coming up, they will have money so it's a good time to ask. Stroller My daughter is 5 years old and weighs 32 pounds and is 43 inches tall. Guest guest
Hi , I purchased a BOB stroller and I absolutely love it. I can take it anywhere, dirt, grass, beach, trails etc. It is a jogging stroller, but it will accommodate Olivia up to 70 lbs. who now is only 36 " tall and 34 lbs. They are a bit pricey, but I found it to be the most user friendly and the fact that I can take it anywhere is a huge selling point for me. You can even shop with it if you get the model (I think it's called Revolution) with the smaller wheel in the front and larger wheels in the back. My brother and his wife purchased that model and they absolutely love it. It folds nicely and stores easily. Good Luck! Guest guest
Hi , A baby jogger is a great one. My son is 3 ½ and is 38 pounds and about 39 inches tall and he fits just fine. I use it on my exercise walks (since he can’t speed walk with me for 45 minutes ) . I have an old one that does not break down to put in the car, but the newer ones do and I see a lot of them and they look very nice. I’m sure we can use it for quite a while longer. Guest guest
Thanks for responding. I am looking at so many of them I'm getting confused LOL I want one that we can use pretty much forever. I'm not to worried about my 22 month old one yet since she can get around much easier than my 5 yr old can. Also the baby is starting to run whereas Jezeca can't but she does try. I just found out that the Variety Club has alot of money that isn't being asked for, so I'm going to call them tomorrow and put in a request for a stroller. I'm keeping the list of all the strollers that have been listed for my husband to look at too when he gets home tomorrow night. Thanks everyone for you help.
