If you like wind chimes you could get some, put them inside your home

and turn on a fan to make them " speak " . Why on earth would anyone

want to compel their neighbors to listen to them.

thats just the point...my neighbors compel me to listen to things all day that I dont want to hear....wind chimes are FAR less intrusive than being woken up by 2 dogs barking for hours on end at any time of day or night. Unfortunately they are within the laws required so animal control will not do anything about it. Wind chimes ONLY make noise if and when its windy. A person that is bothered by them can go inside and they wont hear them. I can guarantee you wont hear my wind chimes in my neighbors yard.

Ive already said I would make reasonable accomodations, so I dont feel Im being selfish. But I wont forgo something I like completely.

As far as throwing my career choice back in my face, what I do at home has absolutely nothing to do with what I do at work. Actually, Im wrong it does, my home is where I come to relax and get away from others- it is my refuge. If I do not take care of myself first I cannot take care of others. Its taught that way in the fire service, the ems world, its been taught to me in nursing school and I would imagine the law enforcement world is no different. Your first priority is your self, 2nd priority is your partner. 3rd priority is those you serve and lastly, other peoples property.

Well said Ann. I guess we need to get back on topic folks. I've enjoyed reading everyone's opinions but this has probably been beaten enough. Take care all,To: asthma Sent: Fri, October 29, 2010 8:46:47 PMSubject: Re:
