Guest guest
, My dh had to have the s/a...he had a child previously but we didn't have one together at the time of my tr... Our age also was a factor...I am 37 and Rick is 38...I didn't want to risk a surgery without the s/a and it was recommended by my tr doctor. But, if there's low sperm count or other 'spermie factors' <smiling> those need to be addressed any way... It really isn't bad...a bit uncomfortable for the hubbys but...it is the least they can do on this journey....I think it's a mind factor...like everyone around knows what is in the cup?! lol The entire process is over very quickly and it isn't any more of an issue than us gals having to do a pap or those type things... Hope this helps you some...Rhonda
Guest guest
, Yes there's things that can boost the count if needed...my dh took a vitamin before we even tr'd so his would be boosted...just in case he needed it...that was already fixed LOL I have some " sperm files " saved so I will post those here for you.... and You are more than welcome with the help...That's what it is all about here...this is how you learn and it is the same way we learned what we needed to be done....and if we share our info with others they won't be so caught offguard or worried...Hugs, Rhonda , My dh had to have the s/a...he had a child previously but we > didn't have one together at the time of my tr... Guest guest
Rhonda, Looking forward to seeing your " sperm files " I just spoke to Dr. L's office and tentatively set my phone consultation for Dec. 13th so I guess we'll know very soon if he recommends the SA (I'm sure he will, but maybe it will be easier to take from the Dr.). I have a million questions but does anyone know anything that I MUST ask? I don't have my reports from the TL so I know that will take up a lot of my consult time. P.
