It was suggested on the HBOT list that for autism (we are renting a soft chamber) to dive 7 days per week 2 times per day at 90 min each with six hours between. So, that is what we are doing with our boys.Dana and Garrett, just turned 4, SCD 2 yearsCeliac, ASD, Speech and Motor Apraxia, sensory processing disorder

Hi we have just completed 40 dives of hbot 2 hrly dives daily, 5 days on, weekend off. We have had gains im unsure what to do now, take a break for 4-6 weeks or continue .Id appreciate any advice as we are doing this on our own Many thanks caroline

,

What gains specifically did you notice? Did you notice any expressive language gains?

Thanks,

Re: hbot protocol

That would be my recommendation. We did 4-40 sessions with a 2 month break in between each. The gains were extraordinary. My son is nearly recovered. Language is my last issue.Good luck.Oct 23, 2008 02:44:02 PM, mb12 valtrex wrote:

HI,

Can you tell me if it was a hard or soft chamber?  Also, what

depth did you use?

Thanks,

All kinds - expressive, receptive language (quite dramatic), cognitive

improvements, social skills, pretend play, sensory problems (totally gone now),

interest in sports, nature, etc. We have done 160 hours so far and I

would love to do more but I need to take a financial break. No insurance

coverage for us unfortunately. He now has some attention problems and

expressive language is still a bit delayed. Because of it, he has a hard

time sometimes playing with other 6 year-olds if the game requires a lot of

strategic language. But overall, he is doing great. All this just

happened in the past year, so it is a lot and he has a lot of catching up to

do. I am looking into more biomedicine and neurofeedback.

We did tons of biomed before the HBOT though. I think that was very

helpful.

Take care.

Hi ,

You are an INSPIRATION!

The DAN! doctor we have wrote a custom protocol for my 5 yo son. We

took a 6 week break, and then did the second 40 in only 3 weeks.

Usually my wife took a break on Sunday, or one on Saturday and one on

Sunday. For the second set we did 1.5 ATA for 20 dives, and 1.75 ATA

for the remainder, except the last dive, which was at 2.0 ATA.

We plan to go to about 150 hard chamber HBOT, as it is the fasted

therapy we have used. I may stay at 1.75 ATA this time, but we have a

script for 2.0 ATA.

Again, a big CONGRATULATIONS to you for helping your child!

Good for you Penumbra. Hang in there and keep it up! Remember to give lots of antioxidants.

Best of luck.

Thanks, we used 1.5 in the hard, but I think for this third

round we will try to go down further.
