I used to be able to predict precipitation with my sinuses. LOL Since I started using Advair for my asthma my sinuses have completely cleared up. I used to miss work because of the pain and headaches but no more. Who knew asthma had "beneficial side effects"? :-)

Well, we have a low pressure system sitting on top of my area of the world and yes, it's bugging me a little bit. I'm achy and stuffed up today. Oh well, making do.

CJ for me, controlling my sinuses and nasal symptoms has cleared up a good deal of the asthma flares...along with advair, singulair and as of yesterday, what used to be allegra for me was switched to zyrtek.

Its part of my "asthma action plan" to do sinus rinses when Im experiencing the kind of sore throat associated with post nasal drip & salt water gargles. The pulmonologist I saw back in January picked up on that when I told him that Ive noticed much clearer nasal passages after neb treatments. I know with almost 100% certainty that I have fended off at least 2 flares with those actions alone.

So asthma and sinus issues can definitely be related.

I had to switch off allegra because recently every time Ive taken it, Ive gotten bad headaches. Its not even a "listed side effect" but it was definitely the allegra b/c I stopped taking it for a few days and the headaches went away. I took it again and almost spent half the day in bed. I have a history of building up tolerances to antihistamines and apparently have done so again...or an intolerance in this case. Anyway...stopping the allegra had caused an increase in my asthma symptoms so I went to see the doc yesterday and we switched me to zyrtec. I woke up this morning clear and able to breathe through my nose...its sooo nice!!!

Oh and it was a lovely 45 degrees last night!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAY!! (Sorry...Im a northern transplant to the south...I live for cooler weather..lol)

I am glad to hear you have found something that works for you. :-) I tried taking Zyrtec and it was just like taking a sleeping pill. I couldn't function. It is such a relief to have no more sinus infections or bronchitis and in my case it has to be Advair that made the dif.
