Guest guest Posted July 1, 2006 Report Share Posted July 1, 2006 Oh dear Imogene, I am so sorry to hear about Don in the hospital, but please don't say that your life situation pales to anyone else's. Death is not easy, but we are all traveling down a very bumpy road and one day we will all reach the end with our LO and even though it is the hardest on the caregiver, our LO is finally at peace and no longer suffering, but the caregiver goes onto suffer until time erases the pain. When our LOs are in the hosital or even a nh we suffer for our LO and long to have them back to where they were in their healthy years with us. You're suffering is no less. I pray you get some rest. Please take care of yourself and I pray for a speedy recovery, so Don can be home with you again. So sorry to hear about your Don , hoping he will be on the mend soon and back home again , have been through this with my husband many times and understand how hard it is , my prayer's are with you both......... ...... He forgot the doctor came to see him today, after having two test this morning. He called me last night. " Honey where are my pants? Where are my shoes, I am naked except for this thing hanging on me. " I replied that it was night and he wasn't going anywhere, that he was in the hospital, and to relax, and tomorrow I would bring his clothes. He calmed down and told me he felt better when I was there. Today he wanted me there, now! I got there when I comfortably could. I urged him to take a shower. He fussed that he couldn't find the soap, then couldn't find his shaving equipment. I showed him right where he put it. He couldn't find the kids phone numbers. But, at least he remembered our phone number to be able to call me. He is just confused but in no pain at this time. He answered few of the doctor's questions correctly. We'll know tomorrow if he just goes home, his medication is changed or he gets another Stent. ????
