Hii am not sure, but i believe lymes bacteria do have an affect on hormones, i found antbiotics affect estrogen levels and will make you gain weight, After i took antibiotics for long periods of time, i gained lots of weight, i was bloated, and i also developed some problems with my uterus which may be due to the high estrogen levels that anti biotics cause. High does of vitamine C and salt or just even vitamine c and also a little mms. i tend to lose the weight and feel less bloated.DamariseTo: Lyme_and_Rife From: steppingstone3@...Date: Fri, 9 Dec 2011 02:05:11 +0000Subject: OT: weight gain

Dear Lyme and Rife yahoo group:

What can cause weight gain with late-stage Lyme Disease and/or some of the related co-infections? Originally, I had lost a lot of weight without even trying the first couple of years (though I have been a health food person for many years), at least, that I think I must have had the Lyme Disease (but did not yet know that was what it was). However, I had gradually gained some amounts of weight in the last year or so, off and on. Now, I seem to have gained a lot more than has typically been so far with the Lyme Disease. I am thinking that it is maybe just part of the progression of the Lyme Disease and it's affects on my hormones (adrenal, thyroid, etc.) and maybe inflammation, but also because it has maybe been a couple of months (or almost) since I have been able to have the raw goat milk kefir (with all the probiotics, etc.). I thought possibly that the lack of good probiotics could be a part of what can cause weight gain (whether one has Lyme Disease or not).

So, would be interested in everyone's imput on this.

Thank you.

Sincerely, in Christ Jesus the Lord,

Hi ,

Dr Lloyd talks about this in his article on Lyme and Mold Toxins. The fat is a

storage place for toxins, the more toxic we get, the fatter we get. I think

that this is probably true with society in general as our planet is getting more

toxic, people are getting fatter.

One other thing I forgot to mention is that fungus is often an active part of

Lyme disease whether or not you have been on abx. Fungal overgrowth also makes

one crave sweets. Lyme also causes hypoglycemia which also causes sweets

cravings.

exercise and also due to the protein leptin, which lyme somehow blocks in our

bodies.Leptin is that which shuts off hunger symptoms.I dont know how lyme does

this or how it changes things in the body, but I know this one thing is involved

as part of it
