Guest guest
Dear Group, I just had (my 12 year old) at duPont in Delaware today so that the orthopedist could examine the MRI. She will meet a neurosurgeon next Monday. A couple questions left unanswered are that does not have any symptoms. No headaches, neurological that weren't all ready there, accidents etc. The doctor asked me all about these.....none. The next question was that he had some concerns about the syrinx being vascular rather then fluid. Is there any one out there with vascular problems...birthmarks etc. that may have this problem. To: miralax Sent: Friday, June 8, 2012 8:50 PM Subject: tethered cord Hi group,Our GI now wants our eight-year-old daughter to be tested (MRI) for a possible tethered cord. I don't think she has this condition and can't help but wonder how it could have been missed earlier, but it's something to look at if you haven't ruled it out, when encopresis is a problem (apparently it can also cause urinary incontinence). Apparently tethered cord can manifest as a spectrum, with some cases being severe and others being so mild that they aren't diagnosed until years after birth.
