Guest guest
Hi - From what I Have learned this is because the Vegus nerve runs through the Brain stem and our Chiari presses on it - the Vegus nerve controls among other things the stomach. I am still not able to drive - even after decompression - due to the back and forth movements of the head - they still cause dizziness, nausea, swallowing problems & headaches. But yes - I am pretty much constantly nauseated. Not much of an answer - I know - but it sure sounded educated when I started - huh? LOL Our resident experts will let you know better answers! *smiles* God Bless - Terry Lynne > > Hi I was wondering do any of you suffer from nausea and dizziness...I > became very dizzy and nauseas yesterday for most of the day..I believe > it was started by driving my car...my ears started to pop and felt > really full and then I became very nauseas...I was diagnosed with > Meniere's disease a couple of years ago...but I wonder if that > diagnosis was wrong and it is side effects of the Chiari that no one > seems to know anything about....Today upon waking I feel very dizzy and > off balance like I am drunk my neck has been bothering me a lot along > with shoulder pain and my arms seem to get pins and needles a > lot...like things that shouldn't cause pins and needles do...like > driving my car or talking on the phone..I know we cant blame every > symptom on chiari but I am new to this diagnosis and I am wondering if > anyone else gets these symtoms... > Thanks > Jenn >
