Guest guest
thanks for all the info. i hope to be at the mtg ! pk Re: Peta Cohen I also use Peta Cohen and am very pleased with her. She has helped my daughter so much. We have been going to Peta Cohen for 3 years. She is not an MD so you need another dr to write the prescriptions for you. She is so knowledgeable and in my opinion so much smarter than a lot of the doctors out there! My name is also and live in Bergen County. There is a biomedical group that meets at Valley Hospital in Ridgewood on a monthly basis if you want to get to know other parents in the area that do biomedical treatments. We usually meet the 2nd Wednesday of every month at 7pm but this month it is actually this week, October 15 at 7pm. I am posting the info I got via email about the October 15th meeting: Dear Group: The Barnert/Valley Autism Support Group (B/V-ASG) is pleased to announce that our next meeting will be Wednesday October 15, 2008 at 7pm at the Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, NJ. Our guest speaker will be Dr. Boyd Haley, PhD. Dr. Haley is a biochemist from the University of Kentucky and a world-renowned expert on mercury toxicity. Dr. Haley has spoken at numerous autism conferences. Dr. Haley is currently working on relieving oxidative stress which is thought to have a big impact on some autistic children. He will be speaking, via teleconference, about a product called "OSR" or "Oxidative Stress Reliever" and what the current therapeutic protocol is for this product. There will be a Q & A session with Dr. Haley following his remarks. About the Barnert/Valley Autism Support Group: This group was founded in 2006 by McPartlin Gardella. The group meets monthly at Valley Hospital and offers a valuable "Meet The Expert" speakers forum. Past speakers have included Dr. Jo Feingold, Dr. Stuart Freedenfeld, Dr. Glenn Gero, Dr. Ed Tobinick, Lalama, Dorinne of The Center, Dr. Ken Bock, Guaberti, Peta Cohen, and others. We are parents of children with autism and related developmental disorders. We come from all over New York and New Jersey and we welcome anyone, parent or professional, who is affected by autism. believes in "moving the medicine forward" by inviting speakers to address us about cutting edge science related to the treatment of autism. We had been calling ourselves the Barnert Hospital Autism Support Group, but this year we will be branching out to Valley Hospital in Ridgewood as well. Everyone is welcome to come to any and all meetings. No matter if your child was just diagnosed, or if you are an experienced parent, we can help. The group has a wealth of knowledge that can help your child.
