Well, this article made me gasp!

Especially this line: " Every time she dives, " Zic said, " and goes head first

into someone it's, `Whew, OK and she gets up and just throws the ball right

away.' "

Now it's the last thing on people's minds.

To think a child with Chiari is being allowed to participate in a sport where

she " goes head first into someone " is shocking. For all that I know and have

learned from other patients and online support groups, I'm afraid for this girl

and also fear she will have real problems in the future after being allowed to

do this sport that so obviously is wrong for someone with Chiari and skull base

issues.

just my thoughts!

I have Chiari as well as my son.  Dr Bolognese and Dr Frim from Chicago told my

son that he could still play baseball as long as he didn't slide head first.
