UKHerbal-listDear All

Sorry not to have thanked your all earlier but been distracted with other

things.

Thank you all so much for your replies. As regards infused oils I think I will

try using the oven and see how I get on. I tried using a slow cooker which is

rather old and I don't like to leave it on if I leave the house.

Henriette, I was looking for fresh herbs to use for tea tasting and had some

rather lovely looking wood betony but all the books I consulted mentioned dried

herb so I was just checking that it was ok to use fresh. I use the tincture a

lot as a nervine and thought it would be interesting to experience the tea but

wanted to be safe handing it out to others to take. Except that I am currently

taking some other herbal medications at the moment I would like to take the wood

betony for a little while and see what effect it has.

Thanks also for the clarification about the red valerian. I have just become

the proud owner of some Valeriana officinalis and looking forward to harvesting

it in a couple of years.
