It depends what is causing it - but a Mg supplement and Verbena (in a tea) have

really helped a couple of my clients.

Subject: tremor

Hello all, anybody has got experience treating tremors?

64 yr old ex-steel erector, ex-alcoholic, presenting with the 'shakes',

involving upper limbs and head, getting worse, especially when socialising,

difficulties carrying a tray, cup of tea... Pt is a smoker (tried many times to

stop), his diet: red meat daily, potatoes, cabbage, bananas and pears, 2 teas a

day. Marked abdominal obesity, otherwise healthy, keeping down 2 jobs. 6 yrs ago

pt went to GP who thought he had a 'touch of Parkinson' and prescribed some

pills, which pt stopped taking after 2 doses due to severe side-effects. In the

past pt said alcohol made his shakes better but the drinking and gambling nearly

ruined his life. So tinctures are a no no and I have given him tablets: carduus,

gingko and Mediherb vitanox (vitis, curcuma, rosmarinus, camaelia). If anybody

has used any other herbs which could symptomatically alleviate the tremor, eg

hyoscamus (Bartram), please let me know and I could try and order them in powder

form to make capsules.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions

Elsa
