I'm here tho on vacation. I personally am at a loss for words re: the recent "blacklisting" topic. Karin wrote: Isn't anybody posting? Or is it a Yahoo group glitch. I am havingproblems posting on some of my other groups.Karin

Hi Karin, Working outside the home makes it hard to keep up with

this group unfortunately. I do manage to read through but can only

reply when I have a moment to myself! Was a little shocked to read

about the blacklisting debacle. Wonder if it too affects me?

Lately my pulmonologist has become rather abrupt and disinterested

whenever I email with a flareup [as you know it happens at least

once a month] he had me wait days before ordering antibiotics

recently and then said " if you feel you need them " ... he also said

that a CT scan is the equivalent of 400 chest xrays the reason he

doesn't order tests for me, just had one to confirm bronc a year

ago. Also he isn't doing any sputum tests as he says it takes too

long to culture and doesn't really give him any reason to do it. So

I have about four different anti's that we switch around and use

between 5-21 days depending on the brand. That's it. He tells me

that I should be doing acapella daily and to exercise [which I do].

I definitely get the feeling that he is not too anxious to deal with

a bronc patient, after all, I'm going to be 60 this year!!

So I carry on. I am taking my vitamins daily; plus an immunity

supplement and try to exercise at least half hour a day. I feel

good although I get very nervous when people I am around get colds!

I am currently rehearsing for a comedy-theatrical play which goes up

on April 20th, it is hilarious and I have a lot of running about the

stage. Fortunately the director knows of my " condition " and has a

chair specially for me on the sides so I don't have to run backstage

and downstairs when I am not " on " hee hee. Probably he understands

because he is very ill himself, has cancer, poor man, but wants to

put his all into his work.

So I say, we're not dead yet

we must live to the

fullest and make each day special!

Best to you all!

I'm around... have been busy last couple of days. Went up to Children's Hopsital today to get the CF sweat test done. Felt kind of funny being in a lab full of children. LOL The tech said I was the second adult she's done this test on. Haha... Results should be sent to the doctor tomorrow. Hope everyone is well! :) Back to work for me tomorrow... everyone's Friday is my Monday. Fun, fun! :) Be safe all!Karin wrote: Isn't anybody posting? Or is it a Yahoo group

I could have written this, up to the theater part. What an

interesting profession you have.

One question, what is it you take to 'up' your immune system. If you

have the time to post, I'd like to find out.

There is no money in our disease. Asthmatics, those with allergies

generate more money. Stocks.

with those of us that have chronic illnesses.
