Guest guest
thanks - but no congrats yet. she is now 5 days past due. doctor can't induce me because i am having a vbac (vaginal birth after cesearean). i talked him into letting me go to 42 weeks - assuming she is fine until then. am scheduled for another c-section on the 19th. she will be 15 days past her due date by then.... trying everything - accupuncture, chiropracti, spicey food, bouncy ball, hikes... refuse to try castor oil - it dehydrates you terribly which increases need for c-section - and hospitals are so picky about vbacs these days - so much liability, blah blah blah.... if anyone has any ideas, let me know. i am only 4'11 " with a pre-pregnancy weight of 110. this kid is measuring at 7 pounds 14 ounces as of yesterday! OY! (part of problem, i think, is that she is in posterior position, instead of anterior, which can delay onset of labor - doing all the pelvic exercises which are supposed to help along with the accupuncture and adjustments... but am still only about 40% effaced and barely dilated! HELP!) Yes grapefuit seed is a deffinet antifungal, the grapeseed is controversal, but this may prove to be the case also. Either way grapeseed is a power fruit. Sure hope it keeps your thrush under control. Congrats on the new lil one!! Jennie<>< Typically grapeseed extract is used as an antioxidants. But some studies show it does have antifungal properties(this is controversal) . This article is interesting on grapeseed extract and cancer killing properties, beings I truely believe cancer is fungas/yeast. This confirms to me that grapeseed is most likely antifungal. Guest guest
My son was posterior and I spent a LOT of time using the birth ball. Rolling on it, draped over it, doing pelvic tilts, crawling on my hands and knees. I was so worried because I knew he would be very large and posterior would NOT be good since I was birthing at a birthing center with no epidurals or forceps. I'm not sure when he turned but he did and the was born fast, 1 hour of pushing and at 10lbs 7oz. I'm not sure what I did that helped (oh, and I also had a chiro that did webster technique stuff), but he turned over to be face down! Good luck with your VBAC! Keep us updated! Guest guest
Hi Dana, hope you can get that baby to turn! Sounds like you've been trying a lot and there were a lot of ideas suggested here! good luck! Also - for bringing about labor, a friend of mine absolutely swore by cumin tea (and it had been recommended to her by someone who swore by it). As I was approaching the end of my second pregnancy, I got a craving for chili (it was winter - early January - chiropractor told me to think of 'warm' and 'comforting' foods, somehow chili came to my mind!) I made a *huge* batch of it. I ate lot of chili over a couple of days (satisfied my cravings!) and the last bowl of it I had eaten at lunch and thought to myself I didn't want to see another bowl of chili for a long time! As it turned out, I went into labor later that day and DS#2 was born just after midnight. After thinking about it, I realized that one of the main chili spices is, in fact, cumin. So, I have kind of wondered if that helped bring labor on for me. By the by, the friend who told me about cumin tea, used it for both of her pregnancies. her first went to 42 weeks and the second was about 40 weeks if I remember correctly, and I think she went into labor in about 24 hours after drinking the tea both times. I can get specifics from her if you're interested. Good luck with the VBAC! keep us posted!! best, > > > >> Typically grapeseed extract is used as an antioxidants.
