Guest guest
I am a 42 year old woman. one year a ago one day I could not walk. I got progressively weak over a period of 2 hours and then was unable to walk. I could not lift my arms or legs. I was admitted to the hospital. The next day I was able to walk about 10 feet. I had a MRI and the Dr. noted that I had a 7mm Chairi Malformation. The Dr's did not think the Chiari was causing my problem. They sent me home, I had a physical therepist come to the house to work with me. Three days later while in the neurologist office I lost the use of my limbs again. The dr. told my mother that He thought it was psychological, sent me to the psych ward of the hospital. While in the Dr's. office before going to the hosptal, my legs started to jerk. By the end of the night I walked with a jerky shaky gait. I started having muscle twitches. I saw the psych doctors and was sent home. Two years later, I get so weak that I feel I might passout, have muscle twitches, pain in left leg, I get light headed or foggy at times, hear ringing in my ears, at times feel pressure on the left side of my head, get numbness and tingling in arms and legs, have trouble with speech at times. I have had EEG, EMG, 3 MRI's one with CINE, a muscle biopsy, all normal. I do not have bad headaches, and because I don't the dr's do not think the chiari is causing my problems. I have had about 6 dr's three being neurologist and one neuro surgeon to tell me they it is not the Chairi.
