Guest guest
I'll post this to the group in case anyone else is interested. Someone has posted here before that EMTs might not go directly to your purse in case of an accident/injury...your purse might get tossed thru the window in the case of a rollover accident. So, I don't believe having a card in the wallet is the best way to go. This link leads to one option. It is not a true Medic Alert bracelet, those are the types that a doctor can call a phone number and have all of your records on file, due to the MA bracelet. But this one has a compartment for a card... I believe EMTs will more likely check your body for bracelets and necklaces for medical information. This one is only $10...cheap enough I ordered one for my Mom http://tinyurl.com/a653uq I have 3 men's size purple Chiari bracelets I will send free to the first 3 people who email me. Just email me privately with your mailing addy. Virginia > > > I remember someone posting a while back that you could purchase purple and white Chiari awareness bracelets. I heard they have nicer ones than they use to, but wondering if anyone would notice what it was for if they don't look like they used to. > > I leave the house less and less now that my symptoms are getting more severe and worry that if something did happen when I was alone or alone with my baby girl that no one would know what was wrong. I thought about putting my Neurosurgeons card in my wallet halfway over my license but didn't think that would be enough. > > I realize that just wearing an awareness bracelet wouldn't mean much to anyone either but may give a clue to someone. I would appreciate suggestions of what some of you do other than a medical alert bracelet. > > Thanks > Agnes ACM 1 > >
