Guest guest
i tried probiotics and they gave me bad diarrhea so plain yogurt is best for me but not everyday. maybe every other or every 2 days marg Although you may not be able to overdose on them, they do affect the nervous system which controls the body........ ......... .just like anything, given in large amounts has to affect you in some way? Probiotics' side effects, if they occur, tend to be mild and digestive (such as gas or bloating). More serious effects have been seen in some people. Probiotics might theoretically cause infections that need to be treated with antibiotics, especially in people with underlying health conditions. They could also cause unhealthy metabolic activities, too much stimulation of the immune system, or gene transfer (insertion of genetic material into a cell). http://www.medicine net.com/probioti cs/page4. htm
Guest guest
Hi Marg, from what I understand from other groups is that after gi surgery, very loose stools seems to be normal. Apparently it takes the intestines time to adjust. I have been reading from other groups of still having this loose stool issue months later with some. I cant even imagine this being a problem with my son once he has surgery, but can be quite a problem from what others say. Did your surgeon say how long this well occur for you?
