Hi ,

Yes my regular appointment is May 1. And probably again in Nov. If

anything serious crops up in the meanwhile my doctor is to call the

lung specialist to seek advice. Or I go to the ER. Every time

something urgent crops up, it's on the weekend when the specialist is

off duty. He is in the ER a few times a month but not when I happen to

be ill. :(

Two years ago I had a bad bleeding episode. It was Dec. 20, I had a CT

with contrast done Dec. 23, bronchoscopy on the 26th of Dec. That's

declining health care?

, when I write way back in 1963 re my bronchiectasis diagnosis, I

had to pay up for ALL procedures. Cash. Or no test, no treatment.

Meds had to be paid in cash. I lived in Ontario then, I was covered

by an insurance through work, reimbursement was 10% after I or my

parents paid for everything. Those who couldn't afford it, no medical

care for them. Believe it or not, I saved some of the receipts.

Bronchograms and chest x-rays were not cheap, plus I had eye problems

then and that had to be paid too. In comparison from the old days, I

don't call that a decline in health care.

specialist. Yes, healthcare is bad in Canada. It has declined and I'm

sorry to say, but it has.
