Guest guest
I have posted this to the CAMLIS NIMH Cancer group as well:- I have a patient with breast <http://www.cam.nhs.uk/moodle/mod/resource/view.php?r=147> cancer whom I have been treating for about a year - she had a small lump removed and some lymph glands and then opted to have Tamoxifen although she did not really want to. She has since had prescriptions to help with menopausal symptoms and also Essiac and Red Clover tea and then more supportive Rx - Crataegus, Curcuma etc My query is whether there is a limit to how long she can have Essiac. She had started taking this before coming to see me and wants to continue. I thought I read somewhere that it should be no longer than 1 year? Recently went to Ox for a few months so we stopped treatment and all her menopausal symptoms returned so she bought some Black cohosh whilst there and the hot flushes etc slowly subsided.
