Guest guest
Hi , Any chance of convincing your dad to tuck his teeth under the pillow so that the 'Tooth Fairy' can keep an eye on them??? Might be safer there than on his chest - not so obvious to 'shoppers'. At least it might give you a giggle! Dad was somewhere overseas briefly in WWII, left early due to a mystery ailment - might have been mental, might have been his " stomach " - nobody knows for sure. But the naval pension has sure helped him, especially now. So, I don't know what he would have been exposed to. Before his current placement in the Alzheimers Care Center, he was in the geri-psych ward for 3 weeks or so. During that time his lower teeth were lost. It is over $1,000 to replace them. Then his upper teeth fell and broke at his current place. Now they are missing. I'm not going to be able to replace his teeth every few weeks. Some of the other residents are " shoppers " - they travel at will into rooms and take things. I do not know what to do, any ideas? He is too far gone to take any responsibility for them. He had been sleeping with them laying on his chest to protect them. Blessings, __________________________________________________
