Guest guest
I am suspecting that you are actually not ovulating on those cycles when you arent starting your period on time....Everything I read says that one will menstruate 2 weeks after you ovulate, without fail. another major score for the accuracy of the Persona. hadnt made a mistake for me in 8 yrs, and counting.......that's alot of cycles!. my symptoms of non-ovulatory cycles were increased fatigue, started to get worse acne, first experience with melasma, (I have spent thousands on trying to correct it, when in fact it's an endocrine issue!) drop in sex drive, and lately urinary symptoms - like urge incontinence...not fun....but at least we can work with bhrt.....I cant imagine without it..... Guest guest
Christa, What if your LH surge is after the 8 days of urine testing? How would you track that? For instance if you skipped an ovulation but then ovulated late at 6 or 8 weeks how would you know? Sometimes I think I may have a LH surge that just does not make it and then my body tries again a few days (or longer) later and I ovulate. Would it be cost effective to do the urine testing longer than 8 days if there was no LH surge? Would the computer get confused? The article is so interesting. I really want a Persona now. Thanks, Kathy > the Persona is so so simple - pee on the test stick 8 days a month and the computer tells you yes or no - red or green light. Guest guest
Hey - great questions!!!!! I dont know if or how the Persona would handle irregular ovulations....personally, I have always been regular , like clockwork, and then just kind of ran out of eggs!!! = hormonal crash..... I would try and contact the Persona reps and ask them...you can certainly buy the persona computer, and extra test strips, that may work for you since you are starting out this way. I just dont know if this works with more than 8 test strips.... Guest guest
Christa, I use some of my testosterone lotion on my peri area every day and it makes a huge difference—as long as I use T there every day I do not pee on myself. One skipped day makes a difference though. All the kegel exercises in the world made no difference but a tiny dab of T really does. I have never had any localized excess symptoms using it there but I know you have to be careful with the dose because others have. Guest guest
Yes, because, honestly, her books are fascinating....her protocol just doesnt work- our bodies dont assimilate the hormones as literally as her protocol intends. I think it has to do with how our ovaries actually are or arent functioning, and our different metabolisms... I have about 20 different hormone books i've read so far - this describes a tiny bit the struggle I'm having to get thru this..... Dr Vliets books are very good, and I gues youve read Ageless by s somers....? Guest guest
Hi, You can’t use more than 8 days in one month (except the first month). The boxes are done in batches. Even mixing boxes could give you a bad result. My little persona booklet doesn’t address if you ovulate at a different time, but it does say it only works with cycles which are usually between 23 –35 days. There is a careline number here in the UK if calling from overseas +44 (0) 1234 831 010 Nora Reply-To: <rhythmicliving > Date: Fri, 16 Nov 2007 12:45:55 -0500 To: <rhythmicliving > Subject: RE: Re: Was: dose of E cream, P cream dose????ovulation: NOW--Persona device Hey - great questions!!!!! Guest guest
Christa, I found Ageless to be a waste of money and time. I felt like Suzanne was lazy because she did not give details. It was like she forgot to take good notes, could not remember what was said at the meeting, was lazy and did not call the person back for clarification, and did not include the important details in the book. The details would have made the book interesting. Sorry that I am not giving a specific example, it would just drive me nuts to have to look at that book again for an example! The chapter about her face machine really annoyed me as well. She said that facial exercise cannot work only her machine works! (I am paraphrasing from memory). I use Flex Effect and it defiantly works (when I do it). I just can't wait for her next book when she talks about how Wiley really messed her up. I do get the idea that she may not follow the protocol as directed though. Guest guest
LOL! yes, the old urge incontinence! It was so bad for me a couple of months ago that I was actually wetting my pants! As soon as I got the urge to go, if I couldn't sit on a toilet within less than a minute, I was in big trouble. And sometimes, I would get to the stall and couldn't even seem to hold it long enough to undo my pants and pull them down. I was so sick of it I posted on another forum and they also said it was low estrogen. I can really tell when I do ovulate because I get the mucous. No mucous when I don't. Is it possible I could get the mucous and not be ovulating? And what happens when a period is skipped, which hormone predominates then? If there's no follicle produced which produces P, then wouldn't P be deficient? > > Christa > >
Guest guest
those are all excellent questions....and I dont know the answers...that's a tough call on the mucus thing, because that happened to me recently (I was so excited because I thought my overies may have some life left in them,) but I started menstruating 1 week later...so maybe it was a very feeble, yet valiant attempt to ovulate? and about skipping periods (which I have no experience with ..yet...perhaps never, with the bhrt...) I suspect that you are low in all ovarian hormones....your body, especially the adrenals can make progesterone....so I would not immediately conclude you need much progesterone, if any, even if you arent ovulating.I would get some testing done, just as a referance point..... hope this helps.
