Guest guest
Ok all don't scream but I have another question! This maybe false thinking on my part and I want to set my mind straight - one reason I have suspected that my doc does not want to put me on meds is because if you are taking meds you could maybe eat a little more than you should knowing that " I'll take my pill and it will bring my BG down so it won't matter if I have this extra... " I have quite a bit of weight to lose and I wonder if the doc doesn't want to make it easier for me to " cheat " . Please - I am not saying that the reason anyone is on meds is because they just eat too much - please no offense there - but could this cheating frame of mind happen - or maybe that is just the way I would think!!!! So far my HbA1c's have been low and my daily numbers seem to stay in a good range so I don't think the doc is risking my health not putting me on meds but I just hear of so many people that go on them right away instead of trying to get it under control by their WOE. Also can it be possible to never have to take meds if you keep eating and exercising the way you should? Now you all are saying that I have just had way too much time to think about stuff lately and you are probably right!!!!!!! But the hints and encouragement that I have learned on this list I consider supremely helpful - Rebekah
Guest guest
Hi Rebekah, If your bg's are good and you are able to keep them in good control with your diet and exercise then you don't need medication. If you are unable to keep them in control with diet and exercise then it will be time to move up to some meds. Whenever you take medications there is always the risk of complications, and the more meds you take the more risk of them mixing poorly and causing you some problems. It is always better to stay off them as long as you can, but if you need them they are certainly a godsend Meenie Re: another one? >From: Gr8Scot5@... > >Ok all don't scream but I have another question!
