Diane, could you explain the disease your dd has? How long she's had it, etc.? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mitochondrial_disease From: jeanie ward To: miralax Sent: Tue, June 5, 2012 6:55:11 AMSubject: Re: OCD PEG behaviors

Diane, see below, we use fresh lemonade. From what I'm understanding, the FDA discussed metabolic acidosis as a result from this chemical which means there's too much acid in the blood. Lemons are alkaline................My dd was diagnosed with metabolic syndrome ----- Forwarded Message ----To: miralax Sent: Wed, May 13, 2009 3:55:12 PMSubject: EG the same as PEGJeanie take a look at this. Says here that they used eg to induce oxalates. Lemon juice removed them. Thought anyone who was trying to detox miralax should be considering lemonade. What do you think????NattalieAbstractBackgroundThe use of herbal medicines (medicinal plants or phytotherapy) has recently gained popularity in Europe and the United States. Nevertheless the exact mechanism of the preventive effects of these products is still far to be clearly established, being its knowledge necessary to successfully apply these therapies to avoid stone formation.MethodsThe effect of oral lemon juice administration on calcium oxalate urolithiasis was studied in male Wistar rats.

Rats were rendered nephrolithic by providing drinking water containing 0.75% ethylene glycol [v/v] (EG) and 2% ammonium chloride [w/v] (AC) for 10 days. In addition to EG/AC treatment, three groups of rats were also gavage-administered solutions containing 100%, 75% or 50% lemon juice [v/v] (6 ìl solution/g body weight). Positive control rats were treated with EG/AC but not lemon juice. Negative control rats were provided with normal drinking water, and were administered normal water by gavage. Each group contained 6 rats. After 10 days, serum samples were collected for analysis, the left kidney was removed and assessed for calcium levels using flame spectroscopy, and the right kidney was sectioned for histopathological analysis using light microscopy.ResultsAnalysis showed that the rats treated with EG/AC alone had higher amounts of calcium in the kidneys compared to negative control rats. This EG/AC-induced increase in kidney calcium

levels was inhibited by the administration of lemon juice. Histology showed that rats treated with EG/AC alone had large deposits of calcium oxalate crystals in all parts of the kidney, and that such deposits were not present in rats also treated with either 100% or 75% lemon juice.ConclusionThese data suggest that lemon juice has a protective activity against urolithiasis. Background To: "miralax "

Abby took it about 6 months.. everyday we see small improvements- but it is so hard to tell because of her mitochondrial disease- which the symptoms could be either..We thought her Mito disease had suddenly started progressing- that is what the drs kept telling us- thank god my gut told me to look up the Miralax- I cannot even to bring myself to think how bad things would be if we had kept her on it....her hair is still falling out 2 months later, but it has slowed.. I figure that was the tail end of the contamination- and hopeful it will start growing again. 8 years later- that is terrible... I lose my breath thinking about how many people and children are being damaged by this stuff and don't know it...I pray they move on this fast

Diane, my dd only took for 10 days and she still exhibits these behaviors and it's been 10 years now. It took her about 8 years to get better...........seems it took different time frames for certain symptoms to improve. I pray they move quickly on this...............To: "miralax " <miralax >Sent:

When I connected the dots after googling that all these new symptoms that happened with her might be Miralax- I freaked out! After 72 hours so much settled down and disappeared.. now a couple months later the OCD/anxiety flares for a few minutes only when she is sick or tired- so we are hoping she will heal the rest of the way from the damage..I have been posting every where warning folks about Miralax- they all think I am nuts and say- "but the dr. said it is perfectly safe!"Diane http://mitochondrialdepletionsyndrome.blogspot.com/ To: miralax Sent: Tuesday, June 5, 2012 6:12 AM Subject: Re: OCD PEG behaviors

Thanks Diane, see, these are the neuro-behaviors, no one connects with the drug, they typically think their child has picked up some strange behavior, and how could they? It says the only side effects could be nausea, bloating, and excess gas on the insert. Even though, they claim and advertise it doesn't cause nausea, bloating, and excess gas! RED FLAGS!!!!!!!!!!How did this ever happen?????? Thank you for sharing...................Jeanie From:

has anyone noticed a obsession with rinsing their hands over and over in the tub after taking PEG? How about constantly looking at every little thing like it's a 10 Karat diamond ring? Examining it to the enth degree? Having to fiddle / touch with something constantly while trying to think? repetitive clucking, clapping, hand flapping, grimacing?
