Note concessions! Best wishes, Laird MNIMH MCPP The Gaia Foundation and Transition Town Belsize invite you to a half-day workshop on Hampstead Heath with Miles Irving on Seasonal Wild Food Foraging Saturday 25th April 10.00am - 1.30pm at Gaia House 18 Well Walk, Hampstead, London NW3 1LD - nearest tube Hampstead. Any time, any place, food is there if only we know where to look! Join us for a half-day workshop with Miles Irving, on a foraging expedition across Hampstead Heath. Learn how to identify an amazing range of common, wild and edible plants, and their many different uses. Many of these plants - nettles, dandelions, sorrel - grow so profusely they are often considered a nuisance, yet they offer fantastic food possibilities and are rich in nutrients. Foraging is something that our ancestors did instinctively. Miles will show us the how, why, what and where of this lost art, and gives ideas and tips for using foraged ingredients in the kitchen. Cost: £30 - includes seasonal, organic, vegetarian lunch. Concessions available. Reserve your place online, or send a cheque for £30 made payable to The Gaia Foundation.
