Ginger: NA is probably naturopath, a natural medicine, or holistic health doctor. I don't think nurse practitioner is used anymore. There's PA: Physician Assistant and a couple of others that I can't recall right now. Peggy and Sher: Love, just LOVE the funnies! Treatment: My pulmonary doc told me I didn't need any medication when he said my diagnosis was IPF. What I'm understanding is that steroids (or something? ) needs to stop the ongoing scarring? The next visit he said I had mixed disease, both COPD and IPF. Continued scarring is a symptom of COPD, is that right? It doesn't seem right that I don't need medication.
