I wanted to take Dad off Aricept for a while and his neuro would never agree to that. When Dad stopped eating, the neuro said it was time to take him off it. I did not notice any difference particularly after we withdrew the Aricept, but Dad was so far along by then. He only lived four weeks after that. There was a huge difference when we withdrew the Sinemet and we had to go back on that. It is just hard to know what helps and what doesn't help until you withdraw it. If you decide to take her off the Aricept, could you restart it if you see ill effects from withdrawing it? I so wish I had a definite answer to give you. Stay strong.
