Guest guest
Joyce, Joyce, Have you tried taking Bosweillia, Tumeric and MSM together? It really helped my stiffness and my husband's. I used to be able to buy it already formulated, but they stopped making it that way and the alternatives that I found were really expensive. So now I just take them individually. It takes about a month to start feeling a difference because it needs to build up in your system. This is what I am taking. I used Amazon Subscribe and Save which cuts the cost down some. The original formula (Arthro 3) which is no longer made had the following amounts in each capsule: Bosweillia Extract 300mg Tumeric Extract 300 mg MSM 300mg Recommended amount was to take 3 of the above tablets daily with a meal. So you can figure out what you need to take of the below to get the same ratio. Bosweillia http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001F0R0E8/ref=rcxsubs_thankyou_product Tumeric http://www.amazon.com/Organic-India-Turmeric-90-Count/dp/B000YC70XY/ref=sr_1_1?s\ =hpc & ie=UTF8 & qid=1337889517 & sr=1-1 MSM http://store.ourhealthcoop.com/MSM-p/msm.htm ------ Here is some additional information that might be helpful: Be aware that Ginger interacts with MANY prescription medications- Please consult your pharmacist before starting this supplement to make sure it will not lead to any interactions that can be harmful to you. If you are currently being treated with any of the following medications, you should not use turmeric or curcumin in medicinal forms without first talking to your health care provider. Blood-thinning medications -- Tumeric may make the effects of these drugs stronger, raising the risk of bleeding. Blood-thinners include warfarin (Coumadin), clopidogrel (Plavix), and aspirin, among others. Drugs that reduce stomach acid -- Turmeric may interfere with the action of these drugs, increasing the production of stomach acid: *Cimetidine (Tagamet) *Famotidine (Pepcid) *Ranitidine (Zantac) *Esomeprazole (Nexium) *Omeprazole *Lansoprazole (Prevacid) Drugs for diabetes (that lower blood sugar) -- Turmeric may make the effects of these drugs stronger, increasing the risk of hypoglycemia (low blood sugar). Drug Interactions: Blood-thinning MedicationsNonsteroidal Anti-inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs) Alternative Names: Curcuma longa; Turmeric -------------
Guest guest
Mara, I take MSM powder thru the day 2t in 8 oz water and do take it before bed.  I also take Boswellia a couple times per day. Usually comes to 25 grams.  I can't take Turmeric as it irritates my stomach, had an ulcer from a big pharma drug 30 yrs ago and when I've tried turmeric/curminin, I get stomach pain...so I avoid it.  It says right on the bottle, caution on gastro issues.  Everything has gotten so worse for me since hip replacement 19 months ago, body doesn't like to be cut up. Spinal stenosis came on with vengence. Thanks for the tips....I try so much, but don't want the big gun drugs.  joyce ________________________________ To: DimethylSulfoxide-DMSO Sent: Sunday, May 27, 2012 9:38 AM Subject: Re: Joyce re AM stiffness  Joyce, Joyce, Have you tried taking Bosweillia, Tumeric and MSM together? Guest guest
Sorry these didn't help. And the hip replacement is a big deal for the body to go through. My MIL took quite a while to recover from that. If I think of anything else, I will let you know. regards, mara > Mara, I take MSM powder thru the day 2t in 8 oz water and do take it before bed.
