Guest guest
http://www.mercola.com/forms/peanut_butter.htm What Is Aflaxtoxin and Is It Dangerous? Aflatoxins are carcinogens that come from a naturally occurring mold found on foodstuffs. Aflaxtoxin is a myco-toxin that is produced by two types of mold: Aspergillus flavus and Aspergillus parasiticus. Aspergillus flavus is common and widespread in nature. Aflatoxin can contaminate virtually any grain, fruit or vegetable that has been stored in conditions permitting the growth of mold. Peanuts are especially vulnerable. In 1965, the USDA set standards for acceptable levels of aflatoxin in peanuts. Every peanut sheller is required by the USDA to have every lot of peanuts tested by a government-approved lab prior to shipping. Any that are found to be in excess of 20 parts per billion (ppb) are not allowed for sale through channels for human consumption. If you are exposed to small amounts of mycotoxins over an extended period of time, you can suffer from a wide range of health problems ranging from cancer to heart disease to asthma, multiple sclerosis, and diabetes. If you take in large quantities over a short period of time, mycotoxins can be lethal. When you consider aflatoxin's serious risks, and how much peanut butter your child consumes, why wouldn't you choose the purest peanut butter available? Guest guest
I would soak all my fruit in a natural soap, or natural apple cider vingar by Braggs, I use Miracle II Soap or Sunshine Concentrate. I also use a product like Yeast ,Fungal Detox or Caprylic acid, it has anti-fungal properties This is, what makes Coconut oil work.I always rotate products with Pau d’arco it does not develop fungus growth, it has a chemical called lapachol, which may account for the herb’s traditional use in strengthening and supporting the immune system.. Ps do not use a microwave, it changes the structure of food. No information in this letter should be construed as medical advice. This information is for educational purposes only. Guest guest
Jeff, Someone mentioned in another Group the possibility of dried fruit having fungus. I never thought of that and I do consume lots of dried fruit (organic). If this is the case does any one have a suggestion of a way of zapping the fruits to ensure that any mould is killed? I do not have a microwave. I imagine that cooking them on a low heat with a bit of water but I would have to attain boiling point and destroy all the nutrients and enzymes in the process. Any suggestions?
