Guest guest
I have been on this list for about a month. During that time i have read the book Why Do I Still Have Thyroid Symptoms if I'm on the meds and I've also viewed the video at Hope for Hashimotos.com. I am on the Mediterranean diet except I still eat cheese. I'm allergic to milk so I substitute Rice Milk. I am on thyroxin and am afraid of trying iodide though I found a multi with serratonin in it this weekend and am trying it. Am I doing all the things I'm suppose to do for Hashimotos to get rid of the physical problems such as irritability, dry skin and inability to lose weight? Is there a particular site which tells the amounts of each food allowed? I know I'm suppose to stay with low glycemic fruits and veggies AND eat something protein or vegetable based about every 2 hours for the low blood sugar which I also experience. I just want to be somewhat normal again. I also have celiac sprue. Suggestions those of you who have more knowledge than I or any specialists who may be on this site? I also joined a Hashimoto group on Facebook but it didn't mention specific nutrition other than Mediterannean Diet.
