No CSF Flow

Hello All,

I hope you are all doing well. I just got back my test results for the CSF Flow

study.

It says: Absent CSF flow in the aqueduct, 4'th ventricle and posterior foramen

magnum.

I was hoping that there would be some flow there. I have not had the

decompression

surgery yet and I'm wondering if this result means that my symptoms will

progress.

Does it always mean this? Do most people with chiari have no flow as well?

Will

the decompression surgery always help this? I'm afraid of having surgery and it

still

being blocked. I have over a 10mm herniation.

Some other results of the test said: Synchronous anterior flow to the pons and

the

upper cervical spinal cord with the CSF flow posterior to the upper cervical

spinal cord.

Does anyone know what this means as well.

thank you so much

erica
